The past two weeks we’ve done field collection at three local prairies. We collected Asclepias viridis (antelope horn) at the Rockefeller Prairie, which is part of the KU Field Station. At Welda Prairie, south of here in Anderson County, we collected Baptisia australis (blue wild indigo), and at Coblentz Prairie near Clinton State Reservoir, we collected Phlox pilosa (wild phlox) and Comandra umbellata (bastard toadflax).
