We’ve returned from our weeklong field trip in northwestern Nebraska, where we collected 11 species, including licorice root, silver scurfpea and sage. We also got to see the beautiful and endangered Western Prairie Fringed Orchid. We’re now entering information on these plants into our ethnobotanical database. We’ve had a lot of rain the past week, and at the medicinal garden, the white sage and verbenas are particularly beautiful.
